Chef Deanna Bossert / Chef 'dee boss' - Head Chef & Owner


Deanna is a Miami transplant WHO grEw up in a small town in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She holds a bachelor's degree in Food service management as well as an associate of science degree in the Culinary arts from johnson & wales University. Prior to her culinary and locavore interests sprouted, deanna obtained a bachelor of Fine arts in interior design from the savannah college of art and design in savannah, georgia, while actively working in the building arts prior to becoming a chef.

After moving from pennsylvania to Miami, florida for a position in high-end residential design - deanna became familiar with EXOTIC, FARM-FRESH INGREDIENTS, AND miami's MULTI-CULTURAL CUISINe. Fueling her exploration of MIAMI BY THE MEANS OF HER TASTEBUDS, Deanna created TIES WITH EACH CULTURAL DELICACY.

LEAVING THE BUILDING ARTS SOON AFTER ARRIVING IN MIAMI, DEANNA's showcases many of these visual and creative triumphs as CHEF, exhibiting a DIRECT DUELING PASSION FOR BOTH WORLDS IN HER PLATING DESIGNS AND CULINARY SKILLS. deanna has spent her time in the culinary and local food scene by working in farm-to-table restaurants, farm-to-table catering, as well as catering to couples and families with her personal chef services. She has developed quality relationships with farmers and continues to build these bonds, making the sourcing of QUALITY ingredients one of her, if not most important, values about her business. 

Deanna and her team share their culinary and creative passions with the community of Miami, Florida THROUGH THEIR COMMUNITY-DRIVEN WELLNESS & CULINARY EVENTS.

COURTNEY, A FLORIDA NATIVE, GREW UP WITH A LOVE FOR NATURE AND THE OUTDOORS. TASTE-TESTING, COOKING, AND BAKING ALONGSIDE HER MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER, THESE SKILLS WERE INSTILLED IN HER SINCE CHILDHOOD.

IN 2009, SHE FULFILLED HER DREAM TO ATTEND JOHNSON & WALES UNIVERSITY IN MIAMI WHERE SHE RECEIVED HER BACHELORS DEGREE IN CULINARY ARTS AND FOOD SERVICE MANAGEMENT.

COURTNEY DISPLAYS HER ZEST FOR FRESH AND WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS THROUGH HER HEALTH-CONCIOUS CUISINE. CATERING TO EVERY CLIENT'S DIETARY PREFERENCE AND HAVING WORKED WITH A VARIETY OF ETHIC CULINARY MASTERMINDS, COURTNEY WILL ALWAYS ADD THE EXTRA FLAIR. AFTER BEING DIAGNOSED WITH AN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE IN EARLY 2009, HER GOAL BECAME CLEAR; TO HELP EDUCATE HER CLIENTS AND OTHERS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF WHAT WE EAT. SHE MAKES HEALTHY MEALS A PART OF HER DAILY ROUTINE TO SHOW THAT REAL FOOD CAN BE YOUR BODY'S BEST MEDICINE. 

CHEF COURTNEY IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE COOKING COLLABORATIVE'S SUCCESS, PROVIDING PERSONAL CHEF SERVICES TO OUR CLIENTS, AS WELL AS ASSISTING IN CATERING, CULINARY CLASSES, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. WITH A MINDSET THAT COMPLIMENTS OUR OWN VISION AND BELIEFS, COURTNEY BRINGS MORE THAN JUST ZEST TO THE TABLE, A QUALITY THAT WE VALUE MOST.

EARTH N' US FARM IS OUR GO-TO FARM FOR COMPOSTING DROP-OFF AND AN INTEGRAL RESOURCE IN CREATING EFFECTIVE AND POSITIVE CHANGE in Miami's food scene. EARTH N' US FARM IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY RAY AND LESLIE CHASSER WHO GROW AND HARVEST ORGANIC VEGGIES, EGGS, AND HONEY WHILE PROVIDING TOURS, OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, AND RENTALS TO ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED. IN THE HEART OF LITTLE HAITI, THEIR ROOTS STEM FROM THE PURITY THAT THE EARTH HAS GIVEN US, DOING HONEST WORK AND EDUCATING THOSE ON A MORE SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE. We cannot praise them enough for their active & continuous work.

While we begin to build our business, We strive to create as many local relationships that we can when it comes to sourcing locally. We believe in the use of small-scale farmed ingredients and local purveyors. By utilizing local farms and purveyors, we have the ability to reduce our carbon footprint, stimulate the local economy of farmers, introduce our clients & the public to local and seasonal ingredients, while building stronger relationships with those who provide us with this bounty.
